What Should Your Client Know About You?

I am a licensed psychotherapist who has provided mental health services to individuals, couples and families of all ages and backgrounds, working in community-based mental health clinics and in school-based counseling programs for over six years.  I received a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology, with an emphasis in health psychology, from Santa Clara University.  I also completed advanced training in trauma studies through the Trauma Research Foundation and was certified as a Grief Educator through David Kessler Training.  I am conversant in Spanish.

What is your approach to therapy?

My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, incorporating an attachment lens and client centered practices to create a safe, supportive environment for my clients.  I utilize a strength-based approach that honors clients’ knowledge, expertise, and resilience while offering a safe environment in which clients may gain insight and skills to understand and navigate life’s transitions, its joys and its challenges.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

It is my practice to meet clients where they are, valuing their unique identities, lived experiences, values and abilities.  Clients can expect to leave sessions feeling heard and seen while being supported in exploring their concerns and learning new ways to navigate life’s transitions.
