What Should Your Client Know About You?
I am a therapist who believes that everyone deserves a space where they feel seen, heard, and accepted without judgment. I value authenticity, curiosity, and connection, and believe therapy works best when clients feel safe enough to show up as their full selves. As an LGBTQ+ affirming therapist and member of the LGBTQ+ community, I strive to create an inclusive environment where clients of all identities feel respected, supported, and empowered to show up as their authentic selves. Outside of work, I enjoy weight lifting and strength training, which have taught me the value of consistency, resilience, and caring for my physical and mental well-being. I also enjoy painting, drawing, and spending time outdoors through activities like ocean kayaking.
What is your approach to therapy?
My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and evidence-based. I believe therapy is most effective when the client and therapist build a strong therapeutic relationship founded on trust and mutual respect. My goal is to create a space where clients feel safe, accepted, and genuinely understood while also feeling challenged to grow in ways that align with their values.
I draw from Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and somatic techniques to help clients better understand themselves while developing practical tools for everyday life. I help explore the patterns, experiences, and beliefs that may be keeping someone stuck while building healthier ways of coping, communicating, and relating to themselves and others.
I also believe emotional well-being is deeply connected to our physical health. As I continue advanced training in nutrition and mental health, I enjoy incorporating a holistic perspective when appropriate, recognizing the connection between lifestyle, nourishment, and emotional wellness while always tailoring treatment to each client’s unique needs. I strive to help clients create lasting change by increasing self-awareness, emotional resilience, and self-compassion.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
Clients can expect to leave sessions feeling heard, supported, and with a greater understanding of themselves. My hope is that each session provides both insight and practical strategies that can be applied outside the therapy room.
Over time, clients often develop increased confidence, healthier boundaries, improved emotional regulation, stronger coping skills, and a deeper sense of self-compassion. I believe lasting change happens when clients feel both supported and understood. I work collaboratively to help my clients make sense of their experiences while building the confidence and skills to move forward. My goal is to help clients navigate life’s current challenges and develop lasting skills that support their well-being after therapy ends.
